Welcome To The Farm!

Here is our story...
Our family of 5 moved to this hobby farm 8 months ago! It has been our dream to live on a hobby farm and have room to roam.  We feel beyond blessed to begin this journey with our family!  We live on 25 acres and around 20 acres of that is hardwoods.
We have a large garden and we have attempted to grow organic veggies. We have yet to figure out how to keep the wild life away, so we can enjoy our harvest!
Any tips....would be so welcomed and appreciated.  We have high hopes of a nice, big garden this spring/summer!
We added some small animals to our farm...
we have 4 bunnies.  3 Lionheads and 1 Angora.
My youngest son is in love with our barn kitties.  We have 3 and they act more like house cats.  They love our family and don't seem to want to stay in the barn much. Go figure. They are super sweet though, so we allow them to come inside once in a while.

We have 2 yorkies that stay inside, but were born to be farm dogs.  They LOVE all this land to run and roam.  They are my babies...my husband just allows me to have them. ;)

We added our miniature potbelly pig this past summer.  He now weighs about 50 lb.  He wags his tail all the time and is always happy...especially when food is around.  He will be our only pig...I found out I'm not so into pigs. hmm...
{side note} Click on this picture to see our pig and "Charlotte's web" in the corner.  So funny. :)
Pappy is sweet though and loves the other animals on the farm.
Essie (short for Espresso) is our newest member.  She is a chocolate lab and a very sweet girl.  She's a little too much for our house though, so she stays in our basement for now. {affectionally referred to as "basement dog"}  This is my husband's dog.  He's always wanted a big dog....and I just allow it. :)
WELCOME to our farm!  We have a lot going on all the time.  We are remodeling the entire house and farm area.  It's been a BIG job, but we're loving it.  It's fun to watch the house transform into something we can call "home".
I will be showing some "before/after" shots on this blog soon.  We're working towards renovating most of the inside this winter and then we'll be ready to work on the outside this spring/summer!  So stay tuned...lots more to come. :)
Be Blessed ~
